Dance from Northern Uganda
26 Dec 2006
![]() Acholi dance from northern Uganda where women dance while balancing pots on their heads. They start with no pot then add one at a time until they have 5/6/7/8 or 9 on their heads. Once the pots become too many they need to kneel for a stage hand to place another on their head. This dance is amazing and illustrates the control the women have over their posture and torso as they move their waists. Other photos in this collection | |||
